James + Joy boutique is here to make shopping for your little ones as joyful as those first giggles and as easy as catching them mid-superhero leap.

Named after our two toddlers, Miller James and Doris Joy, our family-owned store was dreamt of by a mom with a passion for child development, education, and curating products that bring out the best in every child. Kiersten (Kiki) Poland, a former educator and lover of all things funky & fun, is the visionary behind James+Joy. While Kiki runs the show and makes sure every little detail has been thought of, her husband David is behind-the-scenes focusing on the big picture & the future (and occasionally building displays, breaking down boxes & dropping dad jokes at the worst time).

Located in Charlotte’s vibrant arts district, NoDa, James+Joy is more than just a shop—it’s a community. With events like storytime, parent workshops, wine & games nights, and creative play sessions to bring families together - we want everyone to feel comfortable when they walk through our doors. We’re also passionate about giving back and support local educational and children-focused organizations each month!
